Annual International Halloween Show Dec. 5-8
6/27/200 - The Toy Industry Association (TIA) and a number of major Halloween suppliers reached an agreement to produce the Annual International Halloween Show this year. The show will take place December 5-8, 2005 in New York City at 200 Fifth Avenue, 1107 Broadway, 1115 Broadway and other toy district showrooms.
"TIA's extensive background in the youth industry and track record of successful trade shows makes us a logical partner," says Tom Conley TIA president. "We look forward to improving and expanding the show for 2005 and beyond."
The International Halloween Show attracts showroom exhibitors who target their outreach to mass market retailers from North America and Europe, including party goods stores, drug stores, supermarkets, card, variety & gift stores, discounters and other national chains.

George Little Management announced that Festivities Publications Inc. will collocate its Holiday JUBILEE!, the leading educational conference for the gift basket industry, at GLM's September 2005 and 2006 Boston Gift Shows
Complementing the Conference, the Boston Gift Show will launch a Gift Basket Pavilion, offering the latest resources for gift basket building and wrapping, beginning September 10-13, 2005, at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. Launched in 1991, Holiday JUBILEE! is a comprehensive educational conference, complete with seminars, networking events and gift basket design competitions.The three-day Conference attracts more than 450 attendees and addresses key topics for gift basket retailers, including corporate gifting, holiday items, paper tools, web services, marketing and sales strategies."We are delighted to be working with GLM to bring Holiday JUBILEE! to Boston and alongside the Boston Gift Show," said Debra Paulk. The centerpiece of the third annual Painting and Crafting Expo is the free exhibit and trade floor with 60+ vendors of craft supplies, tools, books and more offering free demonstrations and "make it, take it" projects. CHA Summer Show
6/06/05 - CHA Summer Show Pre-registration for the CHA 2005 Summer Convention and Trade Show (formerly The ACCI Show) is well on its way! This mid-year trade Show offers innumerable buying & selling, learning and networking opportunities. July 15-16-17 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont (Chicago), IL.
One of the most popular aspects of this annual event is its education program, which begins July 14 with the Retail Summit and Mega Workshops. Six Retail Summit seminars will be offered this year. Friday seminars have been added to Thursday's traditional all-day schedule. Three speakers will deliver information for improving retail businesses. In addition to the Retail Summit, "Mega Thursday" will also offer 14 Mega Workshops - intensive sessions providing education in today's hottest trends and product categories.
Retailers will learn from exhibitors about paper crafts, inkjet print products, embellishing, fabric painting, metals, scrapbooking and more. Project sheets, merchandising ideas, marketing strategies, budgeting tips and other business tools will be included. A special "Selling on eBay: What are you Missing?" session will be offered on July 15 and 16 that focuses on the basics of buying and selling on eBay and how to move discontinued and excess products effectively.
The Summer Show's Technique Classes will be offered Thursday, Friday and Saturday, July 14, 15 and 16. These exhibitor-sponsored classes will vary in length from 50 minutes to two hours, and will focus on finishing one or more projects utilizing new techniques and products, or new uses for existing products. These classes will cover a multitude of products and techniques applied in today's most fashionable scrapbooking, paper crafting, beading, jewelry making, painting, crochet, knitting, glass, clay, embellishing and altered art projects.
